Reporting Road Hazards

Bike Walk Indian River County (BWIRC) is a non-profit volunteer organization aimed at promoting safe bicycling and walking in Indian River County.

On the BWIRC website, they provide valuable information for us to report hazardous road conditions as we experience them. If you notice unsafe riding conditions caused by construction debris, areas of overgrown vegetation that reduces the width of bike lanes and/or shoulders of our roadways, unsafe potholes, etc., use the tools available to report such hazards.

Please visit: https://bikewalkirc.org/safety-resources/

The page describes the types of maintenance conditions to be reported and some clarity on which agency (State, County or Local) has jurisdiction based on the map provided. We suggest downloading the Timestamp app available to Apple and Android users and configuring to display the location/date/time. Take a photo of the area of concern and forward it to the appropriate email listed on the BWIRC safety resource page.
